Library Thing is really neat. I've entered in some of the books I've read this summer. I can see using this to make a catalog of books in my classroom library, a list of favorite books that my class reads over the course of the year, and even having them set up their own lists...I wonder if we can do that at school?
I checked out a couple of groups: 75 books in 2010, and What Are You Reading Now? I think I'm going to join the What Are... group. I love recommendations from others. I usually look at what's on the best seller list, but this would give me other options...and maybe I missed a really good book that wasn't on the best seller...
Hi,
ReplyDeleteWhile "playing" with the 23 Things in the Spring, I discovered www.shelfari.com. It is another site similar to Librarything. There are a variety of ways to use it with students.
I enjoyed putting books on my "shelf" that I want to read. My goal is to read as many of those as I can this summer!
I have thought about doing the Library Thing for my personal books...just so I'd have some kind of list. Shelfari is also good. My daughter has found a place to store a list of all her DVD's...so when go to purchase one for her..I know what not to buy...same thing for the books!
