I have used Flickr with my students for the past two years, but had no idea it had so many different applications. I feel pretty comfortable using Flickr...I can't wait to implement some of the new things I discovered today. We love the Creative Commons; it's a go-to source for pictures when we are making trading cards or animotos. I was able to use images from Flickr to show my kids examples of different species of animals in science. One thing about Flickr: be careful with tags; we've had some inappropriate images show up from what seemed to be innocent tags. Definitely requires monitoring.
BTW--the picture I chose is a statue of Chief Keokuk from my hometown. The statue stands in the city park, overlooking the Mississippi River, and is the namesake for our town.
